26 Apr 06. OTTAWA – « Les deux tiers des mères ayant des enfants de moins de trois ans travaillent à l’extérieur du foyer pour faire vivre leur famille. Les trois quarts des mères ayant des enfants âgés de trois à cinq ans travaillent à l'extérieur du foyer. Plus de la moitié des enfants sont confiés à des services de garde d’une forme ou d’une autre. Devant ces faits, les gouvernements fédéral et provinciaux du Canada ont le devoir de veiller à ce que nos enfants aient accès à des services sûrs et de qualité », affirme Ken Georgetti, président du Congrès du travail du Canada.
6 Apr 06. La Fédération Internationale des Journalistes a exprimé aujourd'hui sa vive inquiétude quant au sort du journaliste tunisien Slim Boukhdhir, qui a annoncé aujourd'hui une grève de la faim.

"Les autorités tunisiennes poussent les quelques journalistes indépendants dans leurs derniers retranchements, au prix d'une pression individuelle inconcevable" a déclaré Bertrand Ginet, responsable de Programme à la FIJ.
